William Jerome Williamson, a 34‑year‑old member of the Lumbee Tribe, was fatally shot on July 14, 2018, during a birthday gathering at a home on Covington Farm Road in Shannon, Robeson County, North Carolina.
Deputies responded to reports of gunfire around 2:10 a.m. and found Williamson suffering from gunshot wounds; he was transported to Southeastern Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
In the aftermath, 23‑year‑old Christopher Ryan Locklear of St. Pauls was arrested and charged with first‑degree murder in connection to Williamson’s death.
